Gold Rush #2: Don't lose out on Transmute profits!

For those who listen to the Power Word Gold podcast this won't be super new as I mentioned it in a past episode. However, the response to the tip has been so great I thought it would make a great subject for a quick Gold Rush video.

I was originally introduced to the idea by Zerohour at the Consortium forums and noticed quickly that many people over there seem to use this tip. Just one of many great tips that I've picked up over there; check em out if you haven't already.

If you need a transcript of the narration of this video for whatever reason you will find it in the Youtube comments.

    1. Your purpose makes no sense. How would talking faster mean you can put out more videos? It's not like you don't have the time.

    2. My reasoning makes perfect sense. Shorter videos mean smaller file sizes. Smaller file sizes mean faster upload times. Faster upload times mean its easier for me to upload videos, Easier uploads mean I'm more able to provide content.

The time investment for my videos is rarely in the creation of the file itself. Let's take a TSM guide video from my recent series as an example. I spent about 30 minutes recording the video, about 10 minutes editing it and I spent six hours uploading it.

Videos at roughly a minute take me about 15 minutes to upload meaning that, even though it inconveniences others in the household attempting to use the connection, it's still entirely feasible that I can create and upload a new video fairly regularly. Thus, my reasoning.

Regardless of how you view my reasoning I will say that the great majority of feedback I've received on the two videos in the series thus far has been positive. If there's one thing I've learned from writing and creating videos for an audience is that I will never please everyone. It will be to loud for some, not loud enough for others. Too fast for some, others found it too drawn out. Too much chatter or not enough personality.

This video series currently offers the best of both worlds. Want a fast video tip? Watch the video. Want the tip but don't want to watch the video or have trouble following along? Check the comments, there's an entire transcription. Everybody wins. :)

    1. Thanks. I like making them since it means I can . . . well, make them! It's really really difficult, nearly impossible, for me to put out longer videos often but making them so short means I can put out more. :D

    1. The storm gauntlets pattern is not, the recipe is, so you will need to visit the vendor with each of your alchemist characters.

  4. Nice tip....even though I hate video tips. I really would slow down on the speed of your talking.

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the tip itself, if not the method of delivery. For those who hate video tips or have trouble following along I've been sure to put a transcription of the video in the video comments on YouTube so you can check that out if you prefer it to the video. :)
